Why create our own video hosting platform?
When we added video support to the session builder and the video analyzer, we original used a 3rd party hosting platforms like "YouTube" and "Vimeo" to host and stream the videos.
Unfortunately, this meant anyone who wanted to add videos to their session plans or import them into the video analyzer had to have an account on another platform like youtube or vimeo.
But that wasn't the main issue!
The biggest problem is 3rd part hosting companies like "YouTube" and "Vimeo" is that they add their own overlays over every single video on their platform. So when videos are paused, you would get a big overlay like the one below:

Which blocks you doing any real analysis, and at the end of the video they embed over videos that are completely unrelated to the video in use.
On top of this, they also drop adverts at different point of the video without the user knowing.

This is fine for normal video usage if you just want to watch a video, however when you want to add a video to an application that "Youtube" or "Vimeo" don't own, even though the video is actually your video, these 3rd part companies (corporate giants) block external applications from using them properly.
So, to resolve all these issues, we came up with our very own video hosting platform. Which does exactly what "Youtube" and "Vimeo" does but without the interference of ads, overlays and so on.
We call it the "Video hub".

Which allows you to upload, encode, edit and share videos anywhere without having to worry about those annoying overlays being added.
When you sign up on the KwiKTactiX network, a personal secure video channel on the video hub is created for you and tied to your KwiKTactiX account.
This means you can upload mp4's and wbem videos direct to your channel, or encode any other video formats to MP4.
Once the video has been uploaded to your secure channel, you can add it to your video catalog, import it into the video analyzer, add them to session plans and so on.

And if you are on the academy platform, then you even can drop the video onto any shared academy folders for all your users to access and use.

When you share your session plans with anyone, then the videos are streamed from your video hub channel instantly without any annoying overlays or ads.

The video hub has lots and lots of features, that are expanding weekly.
Some of which include:
- Editing and crop clips with the video editor,
- add images and text overlays
- place videos into categories
- share and embed videos anywhere

We have even added a comments system for your videos and a cool dashboard to monitor your video usage.

So if you share a session plan on the web, you can see how many views the video has had.
Finally, we have a very exiting roadmap for the video hub which will undoubtedly become a very important part of the KwikTactiX platform.
