Embedding 3rd Party hosted videos
You can embed videos into your video channel that are hosted on 3rd party sites like You Tube and Vimeo.
When you embed a video, a direct link is created to your video on the 3rd party platform.
One thing you need to be aware of is, when embedding videos from another provider. They place overlays onto the videos, which you cannot stop.
See the example below, of a 3rd party hosted video with the overlay that gets in the way
These overlays are fine when viewing in session plans, but when you want to use an embedded video from another platform in your video analyzer app, then unfortunately you will find their overlays may potentially get in the way of you drawing on parts of the video.
For a better experience
We recommend, that if you want to perform any analysis with the video analyzer, then you will be better off uploading the video into your video channel and adding it to your catalog for simple retrieval.
This is the same video above, but uploaded to my video channel on the video hub.
Notce there are no overlays at all!
This way, you will have complete access to the whole video area without any annoying overlays.
