Exporting to your image library
Exporting to your image library
In this tutorial, you will learn how to export your creations to your image libraries.
Image Libraries
An image library, is where you store all your image files and is effectively your top level image work folder.
Everyone gets their own personal image work folders, no matter what version you have.
If you are using kwiktactix personal edition, then your image work folder is on your personal kwikdrive.
If you are using the Academy edition, then your image work folder is on your academy home drive.
You also have access to the academy image work folder, which is a top level shared folder that that everyone in the academy has access to.
Applications that use your image work folders

We recommend you check out the work folders tutorial, to learn more about the 4 types of work folders you have.
Exporting your Session Planner Creations
Whatever you have on your session planner canvas can be exported to a jpeg, or png image on your library.
There are 2 ways to export images from your canvas.
Export view,
Export Full Slide
Export view
Whatever you currently see on the canvas, will be exported to an image as below.
Export Full Slide
Whatever is on the whole slide, is exported.
As an example, if we open a HD background, and zoom in to an area with the zoom tool and select export view. The zoomed in view is exported.
Exporting a full slide
1. Click file on the top menu and Select export full slide.
Or you can use the keyboard shortcut by holding SHIFT, and pressing F.
The exporter window will now open, and render your image.
You have some options here which we'll look at later.
For now close the exporter.
Exporting the current view
1. Click file, and select export view
Or hold SHIFT and press E.
Whichever option you choose, it loads the image exporter.
The image exporter, renders your image and presents a few options.
First, notice that the image format and mode is shown on the top right hand corner.
Image Mode
There are 2 image modes available, these are web and print.
Web mode: shows the image in its full colour
Print mode: Makes the background image lighter, but shows lines and items in full. It is designed for using less printer ink.
To change the image mode to print, simply click the "Set Print Mode". This will make the exporter render the image again, but change the mode to print mode.
And if you are in print mode, then you will see a button that says "Set Web Mode". Which reverts the image back.
The next option you have is the "Save to Dropbox" button.
Clicking this button, allows you to save your image directly to your dropbox folders.
Note: if you are not logged into dropbox, then you will need to log in.
The next option is the "Save to library" button.
This button opens you library, where you can navigate through its folders and save the image to wherever you want.
The last option, is only shown when you load a png background.
When the exporter is fired off, it automatically saves the format as JPG.
If you have a png loaded as a background (which can be transparent), then you will see the "Convert to PNG" button appear.
Clicking this button, causes the exporter to re-generate the image in png format.
It also changes the top right format to PNG as well.
Once the image is rendered, you can save it to where you need to. Or you can right lick it and save it directly to your computer or device.
